Birthday Wishes...

Today is my nephew Joey's birthday. He's 14 years old. By the time 2012 rolls around, he will be able to vote for the first time. I wonder what administration will be in the office then. I sure hope Obama will be running for a second term because I don't want the world my nephews and nieces live in to be inhabited by McCain and Palin because, quite frankly, they scare me. I want the world they live in to be better than it is right now. I don't know about you but I want them not to have to worry about the current economic state and hopefully they have better luck getting grants and student loans for college and university. Today, you need the absolute minimum of a Bachelor's Degree just to get anything substantial unless you have a talent or a Godfather or something...food for thought...

Rising Star to Watch: Rachel Maddow

Rachel Maddow is one of my favorite talk show hosts. Tomorrow night her new show on MSNBC will be starting called "The Rachel Maddow Show" (ha.. lol.. ) at 9 pm eastern. For more information, she also has a radio show on Air America (www.airamerica.com). If you're a fan like me, she has a dedicated following...

Congrats Rachel! Looking forward to the show tomorrow.

Welcome to my blog,

Here it is... my first virgin post. LOL... anyway.... I wanted to give this blogging thing a shot so I'm going to. With this I must respond to McCain's pick for the Vice President. Sarah Palin. Are you effing kidding me? WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As a woman, I would love to see a woman in the vice presidency or presidency in my lifetime, but this one??? I would prefer to see a woman more of Hilary Clinton's ilk than Sarah Palin. I have more than a dozen nephews and nieces and THEY are more qualified to hold the office if they were interested and my oldest niece is in her twenties and a single mom (go Bristol Palin... hey, if you're reading this, my niece could give you some tips on how to take care of a child if your mother's too busy "running for the VP" position...)
