It’s high time I get this page back to action. I’m not in the habit of outing people. Let’s make it clear that I am not outing an LGBT person because that is damaging. How about the ignorant homophobic people who make comments just to cause trouble. Those are the people who deserve nothing but the shame calling people names such as dyke can cause:

Someone Out There Needs A Smile
Written about a year ago but not previously published....
You need to be happy
You need someone out there who can make you smile
Who makes you laugh
And doesn't criticize you
And likes you for simply being you.
She likes your heart
She likes your smile
She likes the way after years of knowing you
Her heart beats faster
Her belly gets butterflies and flip flops whenever she sees you.
After a long time of trying
Because she knows your heart is broken
Her heart was broken too and knows how you feel
You have her heart already.
Are you ready to open yours to her?
She is okay with whatever you say to her
Either yes or no is okay.
She just wants you to know
That there is a woman out there
Someone you least suspect
Who truly care about you
And accepts every aspect of who you are...

1st Blog of 2009
Current mood: numb
Category: Jobs, Work, Careers
2009 has to be better than how 2008 ended. A lot of uncertainty and not knowing how much loss you're gonna deal with either personal or job wise. And making decisions to speak up for yourself at a possible loss to yourself or someone else. Now you realize you're at a crossroads in your life knowing this is the year that you must make a change in your life or you will remain the bitter, downtrodden person that you've become. And hate with a passion.
I've been asking myself "What the hell happened to me? I've never felt this kind of anger and sadness before. Where did it come from? And why am I feeling this way?"
A year ago, I would have never shown disrespect to someone in authority. Now it's become second nature to me. Like it doesn't matter who the person is that ticks me off. They hear it. If I am not respected, that person will know it.

My Latest Scribe and Rant
It's been over a year since I posted here. Since I last wrote, I fell in love. With a blue eyed God. I think he's the one. I am writing something in here just to let people know I am still alive. Yesterday I was surfing the web for jobs on NJ Hospital websites. I had a wave of sadness and fear and bad memories flush over me while I was looking at some of the websites, especially one hospital where two people who I used to work with caused me too much heartache and I still can't forgive for almost destroying me completely. I want to return to work but it is not easy to find anyone as a reference. I feel like I was blackballed even though it was not the case. I lost touch with some people. I emailed someone and the person never emailed me back. I can't even get hired at a bookstore. It's frustrating. When I worked I was a damn good worker until I got sick. It's like none of that matters now. The economy sucks and that's another factor. I just want to work 20 hours a week. I don't even need them to give me benefits since I will be covered as of May 1st. I do clerical work. I can type. Not well under pressure but I can type. I worked more than a decade as a medical records clerk. I delivered newspapers. Done my share of office work. I am college educated and am thinking about going for a degree in Political Science since I am a politics wonk. I don't claim to be an expert here but I am forever reading and listening to talk radio. I listen to both sides of the aisle but I am a Democrat at heart. I also operated a switchboard on and off for two years. I spent three months doing patient registration. I volunteered for almost a year in a partial hospitalization program for mentally ill adults. I answer phones currently for an LGBT organization as a volunteer. This sounds like a resume but I am mainly venting. Let's see who sees this and knows anyone who is hiring.

Two Years Later...RIP NIcky 2-13-78 to 1-30-09
Dear Nicky,
Today I write to you to tell you how I am and the rest of us. We're all getting along in our lives and there is one hole in our hearts that can never be filled again. Your loss changed the course of our lives, especially mine, as I changed completely. No more Bayonne Medical Center. They did me a favor and let me go. I'm glad they did because you gave me the courage to find myself and finally figure out who I was and why I was so unhappy and miserable in my life. It turned out to be the job and my life in general. Since you've been gone I have been in the hospital three times after trying to hurt myself since losing you was so painful and I felt so alone at times. No one in the family is to blame for what happened to me. I'm just getting older and the hormones and the brain chemicals are changing inside me and the meds stopped working. Since October of 2010, I have been involved in the Intensive Day Treatment Program at Jersey City Medical Center and it changed my entire outlook on life. I am, however, unable to work full time since I got Social Security. But that's ok. I am now volunteering at the program I am a patient at and I am better than ever. You would be so proud of me. However, my medical records "career" is over. I'm done with the stress and bullshit. Hopefully I will be working in New York City at a Barnes and Noble soon. Another thing about me that we never had a chance to discuss and I'm sorry I didn't know this before you left us is that I'm bisexual. I don't know if you would have accepted this but so far, the rest of the family has. I consider myself lucky. Our family has turned out to be the beacon in my life. I also left Sherman Place and I live in the attic apartment in another part of Jersey City because living there without you was so painful. I am now happy, still single but that's ok too, and finally coming full circle.
For the first time in a very long time, the person that I was as a kid is coming back. Just Friday night I hung out with Tony, Colleen and the kids and we all sang along to Green Day songs (Green Day reminds us of you).
Britney is doing ok too. She's in Bailey now and they can't get over how much she looks like you. Linda and Jessica miss you like crazy. We all do. Until next year, take care of everyone we know who's with you and we'll talk again. I love you and miss you always...
xoxo

Day After Loss Part Deux
24 hours later
Still angry
But it is starting to subside
Tears are gone though
Back in mourning
Don't have many close friends
Thought this one was for life
This isn't the first time
I was wrong
And will not be the last
This heart remains broken and battered
People wonder why I don't let many people in
This is why, guys and gals
No one will ever hurt me again
Still angry
But it is starting to subside
Tears are gone though
Back in mourning
Don't have many close friends
Thought this one was for life
This isn't the first time
I was wrong
And will not be the last
This heart remains broken and battered
People wonder why I don't let many people in
This is why, guys and gals
No one will ever hurt me again

Reliving a Broken Heart
Didn't think you had the power
To hurt me again
Never thought you could break
My heart again
Why couldn't you tell me yourself?
Why did she tell me instead of you?
Because you couldn't tell me yourself.
This time hurting me may not have been your intention
But it did.
Been crying for an hour
Old anger is back
Didn't think old hurts could come back
But tonight it did.
Red and swollen eyes
Running nose
Fire in the gut
Unexplained anger
Makes you want to resort to old habits
But you don't
No pills
No razor blades
No alcohol
Why?
Because you are not worth that pain.
No one is worth causing that type of heartache or sorrow
That you can inflict on innocent bystanders
Or those that love you.
To hurt me again
Never thought you could break
My heart again
Why couldn't you tell me yourself?
Why did she tell me instead of you?
Because you couldn't tell me yourself.
This time hurting me may not have been your intention

Saturday Night Blues
All alone on a Saturday night
Flirting wth Disaster on TV
Waiting for something new
To come my way
Loneliness
Leading to the beginning of a new life
New location
New love (here's to hoping)
New job
New friends
Here's to missing...
Old life...
Old job?
Hell no!!
They made you miserable
And most pretended to like you
And then proved to be phony
Pushing you to the side
When it wasn't convenient for them
To be seen with you
Or speak to you anymore.
Old location?
Just where I grew up but even that is gone since that was sold.
All the original neighbors went their separate ways.
Old love?
Just an ex who moved on with someone who makes him happy therefore I'm happy he's happy...
Mourning that was so 3 years ago.
Tonight I'm alone
It makes me reflect on days gone by
For no other reason than hearing songs that remind me of past and present.
And hopefully a new future

To the one that goes on about petty things...
Friday night
Alone again...
This is torture
This is pain
Migraine
Listening to insanity
Blah blah blah
I have my problems too
We all do
You have a man or woman in your life
I don't
He or she may be a pain in the ass
Consider yourself lucky
Some people would give their eyeteeth
To have someone in their life..

Reflections of Independence Days Past July 4, 1980
Current mood: nostalgic
Category: Life
I chose this particular day to reflect upon for a reason. Today is my youngest brother Ralph's birthday. He was born 28 years ago on a Friday morning in the living room of our childhood home in Bayonne. Our mother went into labor very quickly and didn't even make it out of the house before my brother who was anxious to make his appearance upon this earth. He just couldn't wait to get out and see the world, which is how he is today.
I tend to remember the details because I remember wanting to see my mother and my older sister kept me in our parents' room not letting me out to see the action. I remember being very upset and mad until I was allowed to see my new baby brother. I remember the first time I finally got to see him. I think it was one of the EMT's from McCabe's who wrapped him up in a white blanket and let me look at him. His big brown eyes opened up and stared right at me. Those eyes are just as wide today as they were 28 years ago.
Because he was born on our nation's 204th birthday, the delivery was mentioned in the local papers of the day, the Jersey Journal, and the now non existent Hudson Dispatch before it merged with the Jersey Journal because he was delivered at 8:25 in the morning by paramedics according to the papers (this is again by memory).
Today, that big brown eyed baby boy is a married father of three boys, his youngest being an almost replica of himself. Same wide eyes and smile. Happy Birthday Ralphie. With love from your sister Susie!
Sue :-) Never forget anything that makes you smile.

Expansion of self...
Current mood: determined
Category: Writing and Poetry
Over the last year, I have been through some major changes in my life as mentioned in previous blogs. More recently I am realizing the kind of person I want to be and how I want to live the rest of my life. One thing I do know is that I've become much stronger and more independent.
One of my passions, as many of my close friends know, is politics. Or to be more precise, Democratic politics. Yes, I'm a Democrat! Because of my affiliation with the board of elections, I do not publicly endorse any candidate on the local or national level. If you know me well, you know which way I lean on much if not all of the issues. I tend to spend weeknights after 10 pm ET listening to Mike Malloy. He is one crazy liberal but I love him. He plays on XM 167 Air America aka America Left on XM Satellite Radio or you can listen to the online stream at www.mikemalloy.com. When I get out of work, I catch the last 90 minutes of Randi Rhodes, also on the same station. She's on from 3p-6p and she's just as outspoken. Check my top friends for their profiles. Out of curiousity, I've listened to the right wing talk shows just to see what the fuss is about. I think most of them are ignorant and just plain idiotic, who conform to the status quo.
Longer blog tonight, yes, but a lot on the mind and not much to do with it. If you get a chance give them a listen.

Sue takes on personal ads...
Current mood: pensive
Category: Romance and Relationships
Tonight for laughs, I started looking at the personal ads. If it's free, anything goes, I guess. I know people who resort to the personal ads for dating since they're afraid, uneasy about the bar or social scene. Of course, you also get the married men looking for side action, or a little "love in the afternoon" if you will. I chuckle at some of the men who only want thin and pretty girls or one who stated he only wanted feminine girls only. One wants an Ivy League educated woman only. Ok, if you want one of those, advertise in the newspapers who service the Yale, Harvard or Columbia school population. And this is my rant for the day...

Things you dont ask your friends.... if you want them to stay your friends

First of all, whoever reads this, this is only meant in fun, these aren't things I would normally say or do under normal circumstances. This is just what if scenarios... not all of these are in good taste. Just wanted to warn you up front...
1. What is the size of your...(manhood, etc, pick your word)?
2. What's he/she like in the sack?
3. How big is her rack?
4. Does he/she like to (pick a sexual position, sex act, oral, etc...)..
5. Can I join you in bed sometime? (Good pick up line but only if you want to be considered slutty. Not recommended for someone you met 5 minutes ago.)
Girls...
1. Can I borrow your husband/significant other for an hour. I'm sure I have a better use for him that you have lately....
2. What's he/she like in the sack? Can I watch? (For those who are lesbian/bisexual or who just like threesomes...)
3. What's your favorite position? Wanna show me?
4. How big is his....(fill in the blank)
5. Is he the best you ever had? Do you wanna share him with me? I promise I'll return him when I'm done....
Yes, this is of extremely poor taste. It was just an exercise of how to be or not to be a friend/girlfriend/lover, etc...

Why ask why...
Current mood: optimistic
Category: Life
Why is it that when good people try to do good for themselves, there's always someone that goes out of their way to ruin it for them. You do your best at let's say, your job, a story, or a relationship and it all blows up in your face. You go from being the star to the "troublemaker", from drafting a short story to a poem or essay, or someone who you thought loved you ends up leaving and your entire life changes in one shot. All that happens is that you end up isolated, alone and possibly having to start your whole life over again because everything you had one year ago is taken away from you and you spend almost the entire year mourning the loss. Then you slowly come out of it as a different person who is a hell of a lot less trusting almost everywhere you go, from work and elsewhere. You even have difficulty trying to date anyone because of the trust issue(s). Hopefully, once you start to pick up the pieces and try to move on, some people who you really want to stay in your life do so and those are the people you reach out to and love dearly as friends and family with all your heart.

Here's this week's rant...
Goose Step Mama
By Ernest Stewart
Goose step Mama, boogie all night long.
Goose step Mama, you can do no wrong.
You know how to reassemble. Empty hands and knees that tremble.
Goose step Mama, oh yeah, Goose step Mama, wah-hoo!
Goose Step Mama ~~~ The Rutles
We starve-look
At one another
Short of breath
Walking proudly in our winter coats
Wearing smells from laboratories
Facing a dying nation
Of moving paper fantasy
Listening for the new told lies
With supreme visions of lonely tunes
Hair ~~~ The Flesh Failures
"Bush's MBA is irrelevant. He was a legacy admission because of the Bush Family fortune and the school had to pass him through in order to avoid embarrassment." ~~~ Alan Greenspan
The more I know about and understand Sarah Palin the scarier she becomes. Most people I've talked to have a tendency to see Sarah as just another Dan Quayle, i.e., another harmless rat-wing loony. While we all laughed at Dan at first, we all stopped laughing when he joined with his fellow traitors to produce PNAC. Much like how Bush turned out to be not all that funny!
Sarah's nomination was a stroke of genius. Old "wet start" was still trailing miserably in the polls even though Obama was doing everything in his power to lose the election, from alienating the left with his votes for FISA and running off to bow before AIPAC, to pissing off most of the women in America by choosing Joe over Hillary.
Then some Rethuglican master, who knows perhaps, Dick Cheney or Karl Rove, (it does sound a bit Rovian does it not?), hoping to shore up the fascist base and suck off quite a few Hillary voters chose Sarah. Sarah, who being a mom five times over, Governor, Christian and a little to the right of Darth Vader fit the bill for cementing the Rethuglicans and for getting this election close enough to steal again!
The lights are on in Sarah's beaming face but apparently there is no one at home, at least no one with a brain larger than a duck! Here's a person who may someday be thrust into the role of the most powerful person in the world with thousands and thousands of H-bombs at her finger tips, who thinks that the Iraq and Afghanistan wars are "god's" will. She also thinks destroying what little is left of a virgin Earth for a few buckets of goo which will no doubt be sold to Japan is another command from Jesus. She's also up for war with Russia if they were to do what we did in Afghanistan, Iraq or potentially with Iran. Do you want to be blown into tiny bits for a Russian incursion into Georgia or Poland, America? She is a product of hundreds of years of brain washing and could be the poster child for being a Sheeple. Who better to lead the Sheeple to the slaughter than one of their own, a "Judas goat" named Sarah?
Her family life is a joke from her pregnant daughter (so much for abstinence) to her husband who wanted to take Alaska out of the union and make it a separate country, which I believe is sedition (so much for patriotism), is it not? Of course, the MSM, which always has a field day if the merest hint of scandal is found near any Demoncrat, has changed its tune for Sarah. Which, they will no doubt continue doing when Sarah starts banning books, abortion, civil rights and talking in tongues.
If you want to avoid this madness, there is still time. If you think it's time for a women to be president? If you think it's time to elect a black person to be president? If you think it's time to elect a president who is for world peace, have I got a candidate for you, Cynthia McKinney! Vote Green, vote early, and vote often!

I see where we're about to become a third world nation. Another trillion-dollar disaster for our corpo-rat masters as we continue to hemorrhage good money into the black hole that is the "Crime Family Bush." You owe the entire world more money than we'll make in a decade and with the constant drain of good paying jobs from this country to countries all over the world, you owe more than you'll make in your lifetime!
It's bad enough that we're considering a trillion-dollar bail out of these corpo-rat crooks but Phil Graham, who fronts for the Swiss banking group UBS, wants US Taxpayers to bail them out, too! You'll recall that Sin-ator who made the Enron debacles possible and most all of the current bank failures and who once said, "You've heard of mental depression; this is a mental recession," and "We have sort of become a nation of whiners, you just hear this constant whining, complaining about a loss of competitiveness, America in decline." No welfare for the poor and former middle class who have lost everything to these same crooks and thieves but Phil dares to ask for corpo-rat welfare. Tweety Bird often refers to Phil as a hypo-twit!
Speaking of market failure, if John McCain is elected president Phil Graham will most likely be his Secretary of the Treasury. This is the same bozo who is responsible for ending regulations and thus, created our current financial debacle and the kind of speculation in oil trading that pushed prices above $4 per gallon. This just in, apparently the State of North Carolina is out of gas! With Phil in charge of the exchequer, I fear you ain't seen nothing yet, folks!
Meanwhile Johnny is suspending his campaign to rush back to Washington to stop the vote on this latest $700,000,000,000.00 bailout as the people have spoken loud and clear that they don't want the expense of saving the mansions, yachts, private jets, islands and vast bank accounts of those corpo-rat goons who have made our lives a living hell. Of course, the Dems, who just started growing a backbone for the first time in 45 years, will soon cave in and your great great grandkids will spend their lives paying for these outrages! How does that make you feel, America?
And Finally
Monkey boy never gives up, does he? There was Bush on the tube warning us, once again, that the world would end unless we gave away the rest of the treasury, this time to corpo-rat Wall Street Typhoons, er Tycoons!
Bush warned if Con-gress doesn't do just as they are told, the country could face "a long and painful recession." I don't know where the Fuhrer has been but this country has been in a long and painful recession for years. It's that gaping maw of a depression that will make the 30's depression look like a "Swiss Picnic" by comparison that I fear.
One may wonder on what planet Bush and company have been for the last 5 or 6 years. In our new movie, W the Movie that question is never answered but that the Crime Family Bush came from outer space to rule the world is a gimmie. Wouldn't that explain a lot of things if it were true? Wouldn't it? Pity is, it's not true. Bush, like his daddy, is from New England and went to Harvard. He even got a Masters in Business Administration which goes to show what a MBA from Harvard is actually worth. The first president with a MBA will be the one that destroys America's economy. How's that for irony? I find it fitting that Capitalism will be brought to its knees by a fellow traveler!
Got your cave stocked with food and ammo yet? Got plenty of seeds and fertilizer? Have a sustainable source of power? A private source of water, fuel and something to barter with? Got vitamins and a bottle or two of Potassium Iodate (KI03)? K103 will shield (or block) the thyroid and prevent it from absorbing radioactive iodine during a nuclear emergency. Got your electronic equipment shielded from an EMP? Etc. etc. etc.! It's about to hit the fan folks. Don't forget to duck and cover!

We'd like to thank Nikki for her donation this week, we're slowly beginning to close in on our goal to keep fighting for yet another year.
We don't sell our readers new cars, fancy homes or designer clothes. We don't advocate consumerism nor do we offer facile solutions to serious problems. We do, however, bring together every week writers and activists who are not afraid to speak the truth about our country and our world. The articles we print are not for the faint of heart.
As access to accurate information becomes more difficult and free speech and the exchange of ideas becomes more restricted and controlled, small publications and alternative presses disappear. Issues and Alibis may soon join that list.
We aren't asking for much-not thousands of dollars a month, not tens of thousands a year. What we need is simply enough money to cover expenses for the magazine. A few thousand dollars a year. A few hundred dollars a month. We cannot continue to go into debt to publish Issues and Alibis but at the same time we cannot, in good conscience, go quietly about our daily lives, remaining silent in face of the injustices perpetrated by our leaders and our government. So we need your help. We need your spare change. A dollar, five dollars, whatever you can contribute. Every penny makes a difference.

Subject: 101 Reasons to Vote Against John McCain on Tuesday

Live Monday-Friday 6-9 AM ET
101 Reasons to Vote Against John McCain
We have found one new reason every day for the past several months to vote against John McCain on November 4th, and vote for Barack Obama. Check out the list - and send along to your friends, and vote for Barack Obama for President!
The list is in order by date posted, not by priority of the item.
#1: Voting against John McCain means you get to vote for Barack Obama. Visit his website for more information!
#2: John McCain won't release records of a possibly serious car crash. The senator is covering up for a possibly deadly car crash. We don't know any facts about it, because there are no released records. How honest is that?
#3: John McCain is a grumpy old man. He whines, complains and groans like an old man on a porch, just a little too much for us.
#4: John McCain has let his campaign spiral out of control. With Sarah Palin going rogue, and several Republicans preparing to meet on how to save the Republican party...do you want someone running the country who can't even run their own campaign?
#5: John McCain believes there is a vast 'left wing conspiracy.' He warns against a Obama/Reid/Pelosi agenda...when it is CLEAR AS DAY that America is hungry for Change!
#6: John McCain has flipped flopped 44 times. The old 'he was for it before he was against it' and vice versa...so much back and forth.
#7: John McCain is delusional when it comes to the latest polls. He is down in so many polls in different states, but he says the polls are not accurate. Is this a type of analyzer you'd want as President?
#8: John McCain wants it both ways. While he voted with George Bush 95% of the time, he then came out slamming Bush's policies as a campaign tactic - policies he used to agree with.
#9: John McCain allowed the RNC to spend $150,000 on Sarah Palin's wardrobe. Millions of Americans are in danger of losing their homes, and many spend less than that on a home...it shows they're elitists, and shows bad judgement.
#10: John McCain’s reputation is built on opposing torture, but he voted against a bill to ban waterboarding. He also applauded President Bush for vetoing that ban. Just another flip flop.
#11: John McCain is distorting Barack Obama's tax plan. It's another smear: He's calling Obama a socialist. Obama's tax plan actually gives tax cuts to Americans earning less than $250,000 a year.
#12: John McCain is using robo-calls with lies to scare swing state voters - the same types of calls he condemned back in 2000. He said the calls in 2000 were 'dramatically different.'
#13: John McCain is not an advocate for children. The Children’s Defense Fund rated McCain as the worst Senator in Congress for children. He voted against the Children’s health care bill last year, and defended Bush’s veto of the bill.
#14: John McCain hired someone who lobbied for Saddam Hussein. Especially when he says he doesn't like lobbyists, AND accuses Obama of palling around with terrorists, he puts Bill Timmons so high up in his campaign, as his Transition Manager?
#15: John McCain is injecting a bogus issue into the campaign: ACORN. Barack Obama once worked with the Department of Justice and ACORN, but McCain's accusations of Barack Obama attempting to commit voter fraud are baseless.
#16: John McCain opposes having women register for Selective Service. Barack Obama believes in equality and thinks women should be afforded all the opportunities and responsibilities that men do.
#17: John McCain refuses to repudiate and condemn the Chairman of the Virginia Republican Party. Jeff Frederick compared Barack Obama to Osama Bin Laden. McCain said he 'didn't know the context' of the comments.
#18: John McCain has a bad temper that is not acceptable for a President. It's known around the Senate as the "McCain Rage."
#19: John McCain is trying to paint Barack Obama as a terrorist. He said nothing at a rally when his supporters called Obama a terrorist, and said "kill him." In fact, in February, he said he would not allow these negative attacks to come from his surrogates, when Bill Cunningham viciously attacked Obama.
#20: John McCain called Barack Obama "that one." It was during the 2nd debate that he made this condescending remark.
#21: John McCain will raise your taxes for his health care plan. He will raise your income taxes on the $5000 health care tax credit he's offering, which in turn, will also cause your employer to stop offering coverage.
#22: John McCain accused Barack Obama of lying. That's just about as low as you can get in politics, especially when it's not true.
#23: John McCain wants to destroy health insurance for non-elderly Americans. He plans to eliminate tax breaks for employer-provided health insurance, which would cause 20 million Americans to lose their coverage.
#24: John McCain originally voted against supporting the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday. It wasn't until he had presidential ambitions that he supported it.
#25: John McCain's tax plan helps the rich. He is only looking out for himself because he and wife Cindy would save $373,429 if his tax plan were enacted.
#26: John McCain has a gambling problem. He freely throws around chips at the table and has done it for years...he'll probably do some gambling in the government if he were to be elected!
#27: John McCain tried to blame Barack Obama for the financial crisis and the bailout failure. Actually, plenty of his own GOP friends voted to can the bill!
#28: John McCain showed a poor performance in the first one-on-one debate. He was mean and never looked Barack Obama in the eye, not to mention having poor answers to questions.
#29: John McCain grandstanded during the financial crisis. He played the card going into Washington like "Arizona Jones" to save everything...yet he's got nothing to do with the crisis, which may be a major part of the reason why the bailout fell apart.
#30: John McCain can't the handle the pressure. He suspended his own campaign when he fell behind in the polls and the going got tough - will he just suspend the presidency if he gets in a tough spot?
#31: John McCain is two-faced when it comes to lobbyists. He attacks Barack Obama for having ties to lobbyists. McCain's own campaign manager, Rick Davis, is a lobbyist - he was paid by Freddie Mac through August of this year!!!
#32: John McCain wants to deregulate the health insurance industry like they deregulated Wall Street. He is against universal health care, which would give health insurance companies much more power than they already have.
#33: John McCain thinks he has oversight over the SEC. He said he would fire the SEC Chair...but he can't constitutionally do that.
#34: John McCain Knows Nothing About Spain. In an interview, McCain clearly didn't recognize the name of Zapatero, the Prime Minister of Spain. He also said Spain is in our hemisphere, and referred to "our friends in Central America."
#35: John McCain Flip Flopped on AIG. John McCain was AGAINST the bailout of AIG BEFORE he was against it. After publicly saying that he didn't think AIG should be bailed out, less than 24 hours later, he called it a good decision.
#36: John McCain helped create the economic mess we're in. By backing de-regulation for so many years and fighting for big corporations, John McCain helped destroy the American economy.
#37: John McCain claims to be an agent of change. Barack Obama has been running as the "Change" candidate for almost 2 years. McCain has been in Washington politics for 26 years. How can McCain claim to be a change agent??
#38: John McCain voted against raising the minimum wage 19 times. While this last time around he did vote yes, why did he make the mistake of not helping working families 19 times?
#39: John McCain is calling a remark offensive - a remark which he once used himself. McCain used the "Lipstick" line - which has been used for years, Obama said nothing new - against Hillary Clinton during the primary race.
#40: John McCain's running mate ripped off her taxpayers for personal gain. Sarah Palin billed the state of Alaska for 312 nights spent in her own home, for travel and meals.
#41: John McCain showed poor judgement in his running mate choice. Sarah Palin does not have the qualifications to be Vice President of the United States.
#42: John McCain doesn't know how many houses he owns. He is so out of it, he can't count how many houses he owns...does he belong in the White House?
#43: John McCain is an elitist with 10 homes. He is out of touch with the American people because of his wealth, yet he attacks Obama for being elitist?
#44: John McCain cheats in church! He KNEW the questions going into the Saddleback forum with Pastor Rick Warren - and was not in a cone of silence. If he cheats on that...would you want him as President?
#45: John McCain would gut Social Security as President. His plan includes a higher retirement age, and he would cut benefits to moderate and higher income earners, plus, he would like to privatize Social Security as well.
#46: John McCain is in bed with Ralph Reed. McCain is scheduled to attend a fundraiser with the Abramoff-scandal-involved man, and is ignoring calls to cancel his appearance.
#47: John McCain supported an extra tax on Tobacco before he opposed it. He is now against a $1.10 tax that is aimed at cutting down on smoking.
#48: John McCain continues to lie to slam Barack Obama. In a new ad out on August 8, he says Obama would raise taxes on anyone making over $42,000 a year - not true.
#49: John McCain is against giving proper health care to our nation's veterans. In 2006, he voted against a bill that would give $20 million to the VA for health care facilities. He also voted against a bill that would increase Veterans medical services funding by $1.5 billion.
#50: John McCain mocks energy conservation. Barack Obama worked hard highlighting little things like properly inflating tires to help conserve energy, and McCain made fun of it.
#51: John McCain thinks we are better off now than we were eight years ago. Yes, his latest ad contradicts that, but in the Republican debate in January 2008, he said we were better off now than we were eight years ago. Fact is, inflation and unemployment rates are up.
#52: John McCain is in the pocket of big oil. He has accepted over $2 million in contributions from big oil companies, and has offered tax breaks to them as well. Barack Obama highlights these bad ideas in a TV ad.
#53: John McCain opposes the Employee Free Choice Act (EFCA). This plan would make it easier for American workers to decide if they wanted to unionize at their workplace, and McCain doesn't support giving them that right.
#54: John McCain played the race card. His ad featuring Paris Hilton and Britney Spears injected race into the campaign.
#55: John McCain promised a clean campaign, based on the issues - but has not stayed that course. He has started running negative attack ads, after saying he had respect for Barack Obama.
#56: John McCain flip-flopped on taxes. He once said he'd never raise taxes. Now - he's open to raising Social Security taxes.
#57: John McCain flip-flopped on affirmative action. He used support it...now he changed into the wrong direction and supports a measure on the ballot in AZ to end the policy.
#58: John McCain is two-faced on lobbyists. He has constantly said he wants nothing to do with 'big-moneyed special interests'...but he has taken in $181,000 in donations from lobbyists.
#59: John McCain's priorities for health insurance companies are flawed. He is all for them covering Viagra, but not birth control.
#60: John McCain is still fixated on the 'surge.' He doesn't get that the surge is over - he believes it's still going on.
#61: John McCain isn't fit to be commander in chief. He lost five Navy aircraft during his flying career.
#62: John McCain needs a geography lesson. He brags he's been to Iraq so many times, but he said Iraq borders Pakistan. Look at a map, John....there's a little country called Iran in between.
#63: John McCain supports the "Don't Ask Don't Tell" policy in the military. He believes the anti-gay policy is working.
#64: John McCain has slammed Obama for only attending one Afghanistan hearing...but McCain's even more guilty! The Arizona Senator has not attended any committee hearings on Afghanistan.
#65: John McCain says the war in Iraq is not related to the war in Afghanistan. Barack Obama pointed out that the Senator from Arizona is dead wrong.
#66: John McCain's top economic advisor thinks the poor economy is just a 'mental recession.' Phil Gramm called America a 'nation of whiners.'
#67: John McCain's Gas Tax Holiday is a joke. Virtually every economist has shot down McCain's idea of a gas tax holiday. It just won't work!
#68: John McCain flip-flops on immigration. First he applauded a clear route to citizenship, now he's changed to a "fences-first" stance.
#69: John McCain gives us double-talk on Iraq. He says on the one hand, we gotta keep it going with no timetable. Then, more recently, he says we'll balance the budget by winning the war in Iraq and getting the troops home.
#70: John McCain represents the third term of Karl Rove. Steve Schmidt is the latest person to be at the top of the campaign - another name involved with McCain who worked closely with Karl Rove.
#71: John McCain is taking money from Swift Boat veterans. In 2004, he called them dishonest and dishonorable.
#72: John McCain flip-flopped on swiftboat veterans. In 2004, he condemned the swiftboat veterans, now, he endorses them, with Bud Day back on the scene.
#73: John McCain is a tax cheater. Cindy McCain failed to pay property taxes on time - that is not the type of responsibility that we want in the White House.
#74: John McCain is an opponent of helping rail transit. When he chaired the Senate Commerce Committee, he opposed public financing of Amtrak - a service very important in this day of high fuel prices.
#75: John McCain's healthcare plan would not help Americans. It would tax your healthcare benefits and leave working families at the mercy of big insurance companies.
#76: John McCain is a fear monger. Adviser Charlie Black suggested another terrorist attack would help McCain and the Republicans win.
#77: John McCain is more of a game show host than a candidate, offering up gimmick after gimmick. First it was the gas tax holiday, but now - he wants taxpayers to give $300 million to whoever develops the next new electric battery. Too bad the Japanese are already five years ahead of the US in developing the next generation battery.
#78: John McCain does not have a good environmental record. The League of Conservation Voters gave him a zero rating when it comes to pro-environment votes.
#79: Cindy McCain criticizes Michelle Obama for not "always" being proud of her country. Guess what - John McCain said the same thing.
#80: John McCain graduated fifth from the bottom of his class at the Naval Academy. Out of 899 graduates, he was ranked 894.
#81: John McCain uses scare tactics. John McCain accuses Barack Obama of having a "September 10" mentality. We've heard this before from George W. Bush. Republicans have NO problem using September 11 for political gain.
#82: John McCain is in favor of offshore drilling for oil. Of course, this is AFTER he was opposed to it. Drilling for oil off the shores of the United States WON'T ease the gas burden.
#83: John McCain was part of the Keating Five. John McCain was part of the five Senators who were tied to dirty deal with Charles Keating.
#84: John McCain doesn't support prisoner's rights. The Supreme Court has ruled in favor of Gitmo detainees. John McCain says that the ruling "concerns" him.
#85: John McCain doesn't care about women's interests. He wants to overturn Roe v. Wade (among other things) - Planned Parenthood gives him a zero lifetime voting record on women's issues.
#86: John McCain won't repeal George Bush's tax cuts. This is another issue that he has flip-flopped on, and his plan will continue to put this country into a deeper budget deficit.
#87: John McCain agrees with Bush's illegal wiretapping policy outside of FISA. At one point he did disagree with Bush on the subject, but he flip-flopped and now supports the President.
#88: John McCain doesn't know anything about the economy. He himself said he doesn't know as much about it as he should.
#89: John McCain voted with George Bush 89% of the time through his administration. Just more proof that if he's elected, it's more of the same.
#90: John McCain is a fake campaign finance reformer. Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) presented this reason during his in-studio visit, and believes McCains back-room dealings need to be exposed.
#91: The Supreme Court. John McCain himself has said he wants to appoint clones of Alito and Roberts to the high court. With that, Roe v. Wade and other important decisions will go right out the window.
#92: His bad "comb-over," that he won't admit to. He won't just be honest and admit he's balding - what else won't he be honest about?
#93: John McCain supports the war in Iraq. He stated he would stay in Iraq for 100 years.
#94: John McCain will be nothing but a third term of George Bush. He wants to continue the same policies that have failed for the last eight years, as Barack Obama pointed out.
#95: John McCain is too old to run the country. He'll be 72 this year. Back in 2000, he admitted to PBS's Jim Lehrer he's too old to be President!
#96: John McCain does not support the GI Bill. He's against giving our veterans full scholarships to college upon returning from service.
#97: John McCain has bad judgment related to the people he cozies up to. He was endorsed by, and was good friends with John Hagee - it took him three months to reject the endorsement! What other type of people might he get close to when he's president?
#98: John McCain doesn't know Shiite from Shinola. Even Joe Lieberman corrected him when he mixed up Shiites and Sunnis.
#99: John McCain doesn't want to change anything about our relationship with Cuba. He is attacking Barack Obama's willingness to meet with Raul Castro.
#100: John McCain will try to stir up war with Iran. We've seen this with his recent exchange with Barack Obama, saying we shouldn't talk - we should just bomb, bomb, bomb Iran.
#101: John McCain's connection with Lobbyists. Special Interests, Special Interests. Ouch. The prime connection is Thomas Loeffler - who resigned from McCain's campaign because of his lobbyist connections.

Food for Thought... the honeymoons over...
Current mood: indifferent
Category: Jobs, Work, Careers
It's been a month now since he's gone and now that it's back to normal (or so people think), it's back to sarcasm and cold shoulders outside the family. This particular thing is funny because this time, I am not the one responsible for this situation, but someone else thinks so. Petty, I know, but true. But that's the way office politics goes I guess.
I admit I'm no angel through some of the rigamarole that's happened but by the same token, I am not one to take being harassed by anyone. If you do to me, I will retaliate. No matter how much you speak up, people find a way to make sure you're the one in the wrong and cover their tracks any way they can even if it hurts the person who is trying to do the right thing. If you're not part of someone's clique, from school to work, there will always be someone who will try to take anything good away, whether it is another coworker, a manager, or someone you would least suspect.
